By inviting Moscow patriarch Kiril for his inauguration Yanukovych spurned Ukrainian confessions, Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Kyiv Patriarchate)

Against the backdrop of the recent election, Yanukovych cannot claim a complete victory, therefore, the winner has to reach out to those Ukrainians who voted against him. In this light, inviting Kiril for the inauguration of independent Ukraine president was not a correct decision to make, the bishop stressed.
According to the bishop, Kiril’s attitude towards Ukraine and his Russian World concept put Ukraine in the Russian orbit, something that makes his presence in Kyiv questionable. Bishop Yevstratij reminded that former presidents Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yushchenko met with representatives of major Ukrainian confessions.
In this context, the red-carpet treatment of Kiril can be viewed as manifestation of disrespect for Ukrainian orthodox confessions.
The presence of Kiril also casts doubt on the status of Mitropolitan Volodymyr, the head of UOC (Moscow Patriarchate), the bishop said.
If Yanukovych is blessed by Kiril on the day of his inauguration, it will be received with mixed feelings by Ukrainians, he added.

What does a rooshan patriarch have to do with Ukrainian government?
Whether or not he wears a $35,000 watch?
It looks like Yanukovych is sticking his head up his own ass, in addition to sticking his head up kiril's ass.
Українці вибрали неграмотного бовдура. Він буде працювати лише на користь Ахметова, Фірташа, et cetera, а люди і Україна - нехай пропадають. Він має собі своє Межигіря - все добре.
