Yanukovych in no hurry to propose premiership to Tihipko
Viktor Yanukovych hasn’t offered me to serve as premier, Serhy Tihipko admitted, speaking on the 5 Kanal TV Feb. 16.Tihipko confirmed that he had met with Yanukovych 2 times after the runoff election. They discussed the issues of Ukraine development. They also discussed the formation of a new coalition, Tihipko added.
“We focused on what’s to be done, and I espoused my agenda for most of the time,” Tihipko said.
Simultaneously, Tihipko dismissed any deals with NUNS to back him for premier.
“I disapprove of what’s going on inside NUNS. There is too little talk about reforms, and too many groups of lawmakers. I am afraid, there will be a lot of horse-trading for posts,” Tihipko admitted.
Tihipko also said he will launch the formation of his own faction in Verkhovna Rada when the new president starts setting up a new coalition, adding that only lawmakers with unblemished reputations will be accepted.
