We are not convicts, CEC members tell Yushchenko
Central Electoral Commission members do not mind if CEC building is guarded, but they do mind that the lame duck president ordered the internal troops to guard CEC [internal troops are typically engaged to guard prisons – Ed.], deputy CEC head Andry Mahera told journalists Feb. 5, UNIAN reports.“The main task of internal troops is to guard prisons. I wouldn’t like Ukrainians to think that CEC is a prison,” Mahera said.
