Yanukovych not as aggressive as Tymoshenko, Petro Pysarchuk says
Speaking live on UT-Zahid television, Regions lawmaker amd head of the Yanukovych oblast staff Petr Pysarchuk explained the lack of support given to Yanukovych in the Lviv oblast, ZIK reports Feb. 5.“Our candidate is unpopular here because many residents of Western Ukraine do not understand Yanukovych’s motives. Yanukovych has been made a scarecrow in this region. In fact, his election won’t impact the lives of ordinary Ukrainians very much. They will still have to work hard themselves. It is corrupt politicians who brainwash the residents of Western Ukraine, telling them how dangerous Yanukovych is and destroying the economy in the meantime,” Pysarchuuk said.
“I would like to live in the country run by Pres Tymoshenko if she had implemented her declared agenda. But she hasn’t done so,” the Regions lawmaker claimed.
The difference between Yanukovych and Tymoshenko is that the former is not belligerent and does not search for enemies, Pysarchuk said. “On the contrary, he has repeatedly demonstrated his readiness to talk to various political parties, BYT including, sometimes at the cost of his personal ambitions,” Petro Pysarchuk stressed.
