Yanukovych to discredit Regions and boost Tymoshenko’s rating when vote of no-confidence flops – Chornovil
The Regions have not yet tabled their demand for a no-confidence vote in the cabinet because they realize that its failure can have fatal consequences for them. That is why they stopped pushing ahead with the vote, Taras Chornovil told ZIK Nov. 19.The abortive vote may backfire on the Regions in the same way as many other flops did in the past, Chornovil says.
«I don’t think the Regions have enough support in Rada. They can’t see what should happen later. The creation of any technical cabinet is out of the question. This is a typical situation for the Regions, when their leader, envious of Tymoshenko’s smartly cashing in on the flue epidemic to score heavily, comes up with a rash demand to sack the cabinet – without a though for the possible fall-out.
Yanukovych, Chornovil continues, can be advised to catch up on his legal education since he is not aware that the cabinet (even if voted out) will remain as interim cabinet. This status will give a huge bonus to Tymoshenko as she will remain in control – and without any accountability.
Consequently, Chornovil predicts, the vote of no confidence will be a big flop, putting the Regions to shame and boosting Tymoshenko’s ratings.

Yanukovych is currently in poll position and they run the risk of making Yulia a martyr and in the process discrddcit themelves.
This is an election that party of regions could lose by being too smart and too divisive. Ukraine wants to see stability first and foremost.
Yanukovych needs to demonstrate that he is beyond the politics of revenge and destabilization. He must pursue a positive role and win over the respect and confidence of the electorate.
Now is not the time to be listening to US technocrats who try to push their politics of division campaign style.
Trust and stability are the keys to winning support.
They need to first win the election then there will be more time for further consideration and future directions.
It would be be more advantageous for them to keep their powder dry and negotiate mutual support once the presidential election is over. If they give the impression they will ride rough shod then they may very well lose support.
Yanukovych must put Ukraine ahead of partisan politics. In order to do so he must be seen as a statesmen and not a politician.
He will not survive the first parade
