Addressing an international economic forum in Lviv Oct. 2, Premier Tymoshenko admitted failure to fight corruption effectively. She praised the Polish experience of reducing malfeasance of officials by allowing the police to provoke bribe-taking by officials. She said this tactics gave highly positive results in Poland.However, she warned the police should not abuse the use of provocative bribe-giving, hinting the police may use it to suit their own ends.
