One of president’s office officials takes his boss to court
Ruslan Kyryliuk, head of the PO department for representing the interests of Yushchenko in courts, has accused Yushchenko of dismissing him illegally on Sept. 9 as member of the Highest Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, Kyryliuk told journalists Sept. 16.“I have appealed to the district administrative court in Kyiv to annul the president’s decree as unlawful,” the official said.
“The spice of the situation is that I am on the presidential secretariat, and this is the first time a PO employee files a suit against the head of state,” he noted, adding he was forced to protest in court as Yushchenko’s decree gave no tangible and lawful reasons for his dismissal.
Although his department has been restructured, but the post of presidential representative in courts has remained, Kyryliuk clarified.
According to UNIAN, Sept. 9, Pres Yushchenko sacked 2 members of the Highest Qualification Commission of Judges, R. Kyryliuk and V. Potapenko, replacing them with new members.
