Our Ukraine convention to nominate Yushchenko for president
I am convinced that OU convention will take a decision to quit the coalition and nominate Victor Yushchenko for president, said lawmaker and OU political board member Andry Parubij, June 23 OU press service release runs.Yushchenko has delivered on the bulk of his pre-election promises and is on track to implement the rest, said Parubij, adding “Yushchenko is the only nominee for president who cares about the fate of Ukraine, not his approval rating. If Yushchenko does not run for president, the country will lose its last core of stability. All those who realize this fact will support Yushchenko.”
Regarding the withdrawal of OU from the present coalition with BYUT, Parubij said it should have been done earlier. “Regional organizations of OU are for quitting the coalition. I believe, the convention will adopt an appropriate decision,” the lawmaker added.
