Hryshchenko may eventually let down Yushchenko, political expert says
By nominating Hryshchenko for FM the president may again expose himself to fire from Premier Tymoshenko, as Hryshchenko may be acting in the interests of corrupt gas trader RosUkrEnergo, Volodymyr Horbach from the Institute of Euroatlantic Cooperation in Kyiv says.Kostyantyn Hryshchenko is allegedly an insider of former fuel minister Yury Bojko who is one of the owners of RosUkrEnergo.
Yushchenko may well nominate Hryshchenko, considering Ukraine’s domestic mess. Most probably, he may be influenced in this decision by his entourage, too, the expert believes.
Hryshchenko’s nomination will give ammunition to Yulia Tymoshenko and become umpteenth ill-considered step by the incumbent, Volodymyr Horbach concludes.
