In a month, Yatseniuk will give up his ambitions and jump on BYUT’s bandwagon, Dmytro Vydrin predicts
50% of Yatseniuk’s present charisma is due to his post. If this share is extracted, the remainder is hazy. In a month, former speaker’s plans won’t be that ambitious. He, therefore, is likely to jump on the bandwagon of some mainstream political party. With a 60% probability, it will be BYUT, political expert Dmytro Vydrin told ZIK Nov. 12.Arsenij Yatseniuk has dropped the ball several times, and this provoked his dismissal. “As a green-horn politician, he demonstrated his preferences and dislikes too clearly. A speaker must be impartial, while Yatseniuk was either skeptical of the incumbent or sympathetic towards Tymoshenko,” Vydrin claims.
The incumbent had a change of heart towards Yatseniuk after the speaker stopped being an obedient tool in Yushchenko’s hands. When Yatseniuk started to play by his own rules, the president was angered because he can cooperate only with those politicians who give him unreserved support, Vydrin noted.
Vydrin predicts that Lavrynovych can become VR’s next speaker. However, Lytvyn has a better chance. If the Party of Regions realize that they should be after Lytvyn bloc’s votes, not after the speaker’s seat, they will back up Lytvyn. Failing this, PR will make a very big mistake, the expert added.
