Yushchenko reanimated VR to dismiss it, Volodymyr Tsybulko says.
The incumbent hasn’t given up the idea of snap parliamentary elections. If Rada does not save itself by starting to work effectively, Yushchenko will again remind that it has been already dismissed. Yushchenko sent the draft 2009 budget back to VR for revisions, giving it another chance to start its work, political expert V. Tsybulko told ZIK Nov. 10.According to him, if Rada fails to approve the draft budget, the incumbent will take emergency steps. It’ll be more than an ordinary dissolution of VR. The incumbent will appoint a caretaker government to avoid chaos in the country, Tsybulko noted.
If a caretaker government is formed, it will a compromise one, he said. Asked by ZIK whether Viktor Yanukovych can head such compromise government, the expert replied: “Yanukovych is no crisis manager. He could be a compromise figure, of course. However, Yanukovych’s team had a hand in creating the present crisis, that is why new faces are needed.”
The 2009 draft will include funding for snap elections because they need to be held in spring, the expert opined.
Yulia Tymoshenko is likely to sacrifice her post for a political future. “If she focuses on opposing snap elections, she might lose her future political prospects.”
