Tymoshenko is ready to resign to save Ukraine from crisis
Premier Yulia Tymoshenko says she will resign to clear the way for a new coalition which would save Ukraine from the approaching financial and economic crisis. “If a new coalition in VR names a new premier, I will act in accordance with the constitution and resign. It is absolutely clear. The only thing I am calling for is the create a new coalition including representatives of all parties that would deal with the crisis,” Tymoshenko declared in the wake of abortive talks in VR , Glavred reports. She stressed, however, that her statement about the need to reshuffle the cabinet should not be viewed as an admission of cabinet’s poor track record.
My statement deals with the need to consolidate all political forces in the country to combat the crisis, the premier said.
