Lytvyn believes Yulia Tymoshenko is ready for a compromise. It has been evidenced by the BYUT refusal to override the president’s veto on a number of bills passed by Verkhovna Rada.

Simultaneously, Lytvyn opined that one of the goals of the likely snap parliamentary elections is to bar Yulia Tymoshenko’s way to the premier’s seat.

Lytvyn stated his readiness to enter in a new coalition. According to him, 80% of bills have been passed thanks to his bloc’s support as NUNS and BYUT lacked the needed majority. He also said the talks on the coalition among BYUT, NUNS and his bloc are at the stage of consultations.

According to Lytvyn, he had met with Yulia Tymoshenko Saturday to confirm his readiness to enter in the troika coalition.

Lytvyn stressed again that his bloc is ready to join the coalition, but he is helpless because the president and premier are not on speaking terms.

“I am prepared to bend over backwards, but I cannot do the same for them. They are responsible persons in their sound mind,” he complained.
