I’m going to Moscow on Yushchenko’s instructions, Yulia Tymoshenko says
Premier Tymoshenko says that by going to Moscow she is acting on Pres Yushchenko’s instructions to sign gas-supply contracts, the cabinet’s website reports Sept. 24.“As soon as NaftoHaz and GazProm finalise draft agreements I will go to Moscow to sign them,” she stressed.
Simultaneously, she called on the presidential office to quit its provocations and stop to disseminate untrue information about her to the effect that she will be going to Moscow to report to her Russian masters because it all sounds ridiculous and not fitting the politicians who are at the helm of Ukraine.
“I would like to dismiss the ridiculous statements about my going to Moscow to report to someone,” she said.
Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko said she was surprised by the attitude taken by Yushchenko on the issue: “it seems very funny when the president throws in two slogans within the same hour: “Down with Kremlin’s hands!” and “Cheap gas for Ukraine!”
Simultaneously, Yulia Tymoshenko said there is no need to coordinate with the incumbent any gas-supply contract, as the governments of Ukraine and Russia had been working long on drawing up long-term strategic contracts, and no instructions on this issue are needed.
The Ukrainian premier also said she will take up the issue of go-betweens on the gas market and insist on the removal of all intermediaries in the gas trade between Russia and Ukraine.

This all sounds very good, and it finally appears that Yulia Tymoshenko has a very good understanding of what action she needs to take, in order to repair the Political Damage Victor Yuschenko's Pro-Western Coallition has caused for Ukraine recently. His Orange Coalition Party is just committing "Political Suicide" with their hostile, and unproductive Policies towards Moscow.
