Ukraine has no technical capability to stop Russia Black Sea Fleet vessels to return to their base in Sevastopol. The only leverage include diplomatic efforts, the media and the public, the first commander of Ukraine Navy Vice Adm. Borys Kozhyn told ZIK Aug 11.The admiral said Ukraine has demonstrated its resolute stand by banning BSF ships to return to Sevastopol. “Above all, Ukraine is defending its national interests,” Adm. Kozhyn added.
He is convinced Ukraine must build up its military presence on the peninsula, primarily by sending military personnel from other parts of Ukraine. It will also quell anti-Ukrainian feeling among Crimean residents, he concluded.
Borys Kozhyn says Ukraine has not lost information war with Russia. On the positive side, Ukraine began to talk about the problems in its relations with Russia which had been hushed up for years. Ukraine has also publicized its position as regards the Russian presence in Crimea, Adm. Kozhyn stressed.

Ukraine Foreign Ministry statement runs:
To prevent the emergence of the circumstances when Ukraine will be entangled in the military conflict in S Ossetia due to the involvement of BSF navy vessels, the government of Ukraine, in accordance with the international laws, reserves the right to ban the return to Sevastopol of the Russian Navy ships that can be involved in the military operations against Georgia.

When we give our new technology for energy to Ukraine and other European Nations.They will not need oil or gas from anyone including Russia.
Giving away free Russian Passports to people of Georgia does not make Georgian people citizens of Russia.It is only a free pass to get in and out with no monetary benefits from government of Russia.The only benefit is the people of Ossetia get to be played as pawns in a game of chess between Dominating Russia and a Free Democratic country of Georgia.
The people of Ossetia that got Russian Passports are just as much to blame as anyone,giving russia a chance to dominate their country once again.
Neither Georgia nor Russia should have any offensive weapons if they don't know how to play nice. Shame on Georgia and Russia for killing their fellow russians or neighbors. Fighting over land is ignorence as old as time. Live in Peace. Prosperity for all comes from that.
Now Ukraine has to look for defensive ways to protect itself from what appears to be a Russia that is looking to dominate the region once again.
No free country wants a saber rattling country beside them that uses a natural resource dependency to try and control them and their destiny of a peaceful life.
Also Native born people of Russia should know that Native American Indians from USA,CANADA,Central and South America were once from the same continent you live on and have many brothers and sisters there.

How did Ukraine become part of Russia??
It wasn't because of brother-feelings but because of wars and occupation. It's similar to the 3 Scandinavian countries, which since year 1000 also have been in fights, but in past more centuries has accepted each others souvereignity and lived together as sisters and brothers, without provoking with offending or slighting remarks - as we almost hear every day from RF politicians or authorities..
