Winners of Beijing Olympics to get lifetime stipends, Pres Yushchenko says
June 18, following his climb up The Hoverla Mount, Pres Yushchenko said in a press conference at the top of The Hoverla that winners of the Beijing Olympics in China will receive lifelong stipends, ZIK reports.The Ukrainian Olympic squad numbers 254 athletes and 160 coaches.
Six athletes hail from the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, Vasyl Fedoryshyn (free style wrestling), Daria Zhoba (gymnastics), Roman Hontiuk (judo), Oleksandra Isakova (swimming), Tetyana Lyakhovych (javelin) and Iryna Shepetiuk (running).

29-th Summer Olympic Games will be held in China 8-24 August, with 10.5 thousand athletes competing for 303 sets of medals.
