Zakarpattya police chief admits mistakes and saves his job, interior ministry says
After Zakarpattya police chief Gen. Viktor Chepak admitted his mistakes, his temporary suspension from duty was annulled and he recovered his post, interior ministry website says.Comment by ZIK
July 7, Interior Ministry announced that he ordered an investigation into Gen. Chepak’s defiance of his order. However, after meeting with Zakarpattya oblast council head Mykhailo Kichkovsky and Deputy Governor Mykhailo Popovych, Lutsenko cancelled his earlier decision and reinstated Gen. Chepak as oblast police chief. Lutsenko also cancelled his order to investigate the act of defiance by Chepak.
