Lutsenko acts like hysterical and exalted lady, political expert Volodymyr Tsybulko opines
“Yury Lutsenko has become outdated. Kievans predominantly voted for those who didn’t plunge in campaign rhetorics and talked professionally. Lutsenko was a product of a certain time and this time is over but he didn’t adapt himself to new challenges. In the present situation, he acts like a hysterical and exalted lady. His hysterical statements are aimed at shifting the blame to someone else for his defeat in the Kyiv elections,” political expert Volodymyr Tsybulko told ZIK May 27.“There is no repression against Lutsenko. There is a plan on his part to pass the buck for his obvious defeat. Our Ukraine campaign was headed by David Zhvania from People’s Self-Defense, that is why it is not OU’s defeat, it is Lutsenko’s defeat, Tsybulko said, commenting on Yury Lutsenko’s statement that he will not tolerate the attempts to destroy the orange democratic coalition and coercion against political opponents launched by presidential administration.
Lutsenko should have been suspended from duty right after his conflict with Mayor Chernovetsky pending inquiry, Tsybulko opined. “Lutsenko interprets his summons to the prosecutor as political persecution, which is ridiculous. I would even say his reaction is inadequate. The investigation is over, and Lutsenko must take the fall for the kind of behavior to his opponents which he showed. Lutsenko got what he had coming, because he violated the accepted ways of behavior,” Volodymyr Tsybulko said.

According to The Ukrayinska Pravda, on the heels of his visit to prosecutors May 26, Yury Lutsenko has warned of possible reprisals against him by reviving past framed-up criminal cases.
“Now they want me for questioning. The scenario, promised by the president and his secretariat, is being implemented. Recall that inearly May Lutsenko said he had been proposed by the president and his chief-of-staff Baloha to take part in destroying the ruling democratic coalition and stop criminal investigations against prominent leaders of the opposition.
“In case of my refusal to comply, they warned me that my office as interior minister would end very soon. Now they revived past criminal cases against me dating back to 2005 which I successfully contested in courts – with the sole purpose of removing me from my post as interior minister,” Yury Lutsenko stressed.
Prosecutors charged Lutsenko with physical assaulting Mayor Chernovetsky and illegal use of ministry’s plane.
