Turkish road-construction company will be a rain-maker for Ukrainian villagers
A Turkish road construction company which will modernize the Kyiv-Chop highway in the run-up to Euro-2012 football tournament in Ukraine will be registered in the village of Zhatkiv, Korets rayon, Rivne oblast, oblast Governor Viktor Matchuk told ZIK.The total cost of the project amounts to $160 million. A sizeable part of this will be paid out to the village council in taxes. The registration of the Turkish company in Zhatkiv was conditioned by the Rivne oblast administration. Zhatkiv is located close to the strategic highway.
In addition, the Turkish company will hire 300 local residents and will lay a gas pipe-line to its asphalt plant in Maly Korets. In this way, neighboring villages can also benefit from the project as they will have access to the pipe-line and lay branch pipelines to their villages.
