BYUT should apologize to President Yushchenko for slanderous statements, lawmaker Parubij says
“Recently, some BYUT politicians engaged in slanderous statements against our president. Even stronger anti-presidential rhetoric was contained in the BYUT Apr. 16 statement. BYUT politicians went so far as to accuse the president of “humiliating the dignity of Ukraine in the world” and “anti-Ukrainian activities.” Such statements are beyond the limits of a civilized political dialog and hamper the unity of democratic forces, runs the statement circulated by VR lawmaker Andrij Parubij.“I urge our colleagues in the democratic coalition to refrain from similar attacks and filthy accusations of the incumbent president. BYUT must publicly apologize and revoke its accusations. All conflicts within the democratic coalitions must be resolved according to the coalition agreement, not through public confrontation,” the statement says.
