Mayor deputy Vasyl Kosiv came out to meet the protesters to find out about their demands. Once active several years ago, Samozakhyst has been recreated again. Its members told Kosiv thay will stay in their tents till Tuesday, Apr. 22, the day of Pres Yushchenko’s visit to Lviv. Samozakhyst has plans to join forces with Lviv entrepreneurs and stage a big protest rally on Apr. 22. They also warned that they will hand in their petition to the president urging the incumbent to “pull his rank with Mayor Sadovyj to have him lower utility tariffs and build a new stadium.”
