51.4% of Lviv residents have not heard about their new governor, Socioinform poll says
51.4% of Lviv residents and 23% of businessmen do not know who their new governor is, with 18% of businessmen and only 13.3% of residents having trust in Mykola Kmit. The poll was taken by the Socioinform agency in March-April, its director Oleksij Antypovych told ZIK Apr 8.“Before his appointment as acting Lviv oblast governor, only 18.1% of residents and 25% of businessmen supported him, as businessmen are more in the know about Kmit’s past record. Apparently, the governor had a too short spell in office for residents to know him well, Antypovych observed.
Meanwhile, 52% of businessmen and 46.8% of residents disapprove of Lviv oblast council head Myroslav Senyk. According to Antypovych, M. Senyk never had high approval rating in the city. His support among the rural residents is higher, probably, due to Senyk’s better track record with them.
