Svoboda decries Polish consulate technical staff conspiracy
“It is difficult to accuse Poland’s consulate diplomats in Lviv of deliberately obstructing the registration of visa applicants. If the consulate’s website is dead for several days, such things can happen and the failure fixed. However, if the page for visa applicants has been invalid since Feb. 5, it may lead to accusations of a conspiracy involving consulate’s technical staff,” Svoboda party Lviv branch leader Ivan Hrynda said in his March 19 press conference in Lviv. -March 19, Svoboda picketed the Polish consulate in Lviv, decrying the impossibility for visa seekers to post their applications on the consulate website. However, according to unconfirmed reports, the Polish consulate website was attacked by hackers on March 5.
Ivan Hrynda says that the attack, even if it had taken place, was launched by the persons, both Ukrainian and Polish, interested in disrupting the work of the consulate.
Finally, Svoboda has sent a petition to the president, premier, VR speaker and foreign minister of Ukraine, demanding that payments of euro 35 be imposed for Polish tourist coming to Ukraine. This is the equivalent of the euro 35-fee that Ukrainian have to pay for their Shenghen visas.
