According to Ivan Myhovych, V. Baloha and his family have been creating a stronghold in Zakarpattya for several years now. They privatized cheaply the spa facilities and 6 hectares of land, the Synyak sanatorium, the central department store in Mukacheve, a military settlement and one of the forestries, among other assets. Because of V. Baloha’s odious profile, the residents of Zakarpattya have to suffer.

The Communist faction in VR has tabled a motion to set up an investigation commission to probe into allegedly corrupt actions by Viktor Baloha (presidential chief-of-staff) and his brother Ivan (deputy governor of Zakarpattya). As VR lawmakers (including the Regions!) refuse to join the commission, the commission has not started its work yet.
