Oleh Tyahnybok to run for Kyiv mayor
The Svoboda party decided to put up its candidates for mayoral and city council elections in Kyiv, its press service reported March 18. -Svoboda has already set up its campaign headquarters in Kyiv to be chaired by Andry Mokhnyk, the party’s Kyiv branch head.
According to the press release, Svoboda will run in any kind of elections in Ukraine, explaining its readiness by its moral commitment to defend ethnic Ukrainians.
Verkhovna Rada March 18 ruled to hold snap mayoral and city council elections in Kyiv.
