Questionable dismissal by BYuT of Lviv oblast land department chief

“Head of Lviv oblast land department Mykola Pshevlotsky was fired regardless of the moral aspects: first, he was taking treatment in a hospital at the time and, second, nobody talked to him before his dismissal. Important, no one in Kyiv held consultations about the dismissal with the local authorities in Lviv. The Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists believes it all looked like a Kangaroo court punishment,” lawmaker Andry Mykush said in his March 13 press conference.

“There is no knowing by whom the decision to fire the official was made. A new head of Lviv oblast land department was appointed in Kyiv at a session of BYuT Kyiv branch board,” Mykush says.

There is no logical explanation for the dismissal, Mykush is convinced.

According to unofficial sources, he goes on, BYuT VR lawmakers Bohdan Hubsky and Andry Shkil were behind the decision to sack the Lviv official.

First deputy head of Ukraine’s State Committee for Land Issues Yury Oleksienko appointed new head of Lviv oblast land department, Dmytro Zavtur, Andry Mykush told Lviv oblast council session

Andry Mykush read a statement by Our Ukraine faction in the oblast council saying the new land department chief had graduated from the Lviv Institute of Physical Culture.

But the worst thing about the new chief, Mykush continued, is that he graduated from a KGB school in Moscow. By contrast, the former chief Mykola Pshevlotsky is a highly respected professional. He is a local resident and member of the Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists. CUN will never agree to arbitrary actions against its members, he added.
