Lviv communists want to rally 1,000 supporters Feb. 23 to protest NATO accession
To mark the former Soviet Army day on Feb. 23 and protest NATO accession moves by the Ukrainian government, communists in Lviv want to rally up to a thousand supporters near the Glory monument on Stryjska St., first secretary of Lviv oblast Communist party committee Oleksandr Kalyniuk told ZIK Feb. 18. -Feb. 23 events include a meeting on the Hill of Glory at 9.30, laying flowers at the Battle Glory monument at 10.00 and a rally at 10.30.
