Uzhgorod mayor blows whistle on Baloha relative to Yushchenko and Tymoshenko
Uzhgorod Mayor Serhy Ratushniak has complained to the president, premier, interior ministry, prosecutor’s general office and Verkhovna Rada speaker and heads of factions, decrying work of Uzhgorod city and oblast police. -“The oblast and city police are involved in arbitrary actions that violate the Ukrainian laws - following direct orders from the deputy head of Zakarpattya oblast state administration I. Baloha,” Ratushniak’s appeal runs.
Citing numerous examples of alleged police lawlessness, Serhy Ratushniak claims that the police are managed in hands-on mode by Ivan Baloha who is acting under the umbrella of the presidential administration in Kyiv headed by his elder brother, Viktor Baloha.
Speaking to ZIK, Ivan Baloha said he is not aware of any cases involving abuse of office by the police.
Feb. 5, deputy head of Zakarpattya oblast state administration I. Baloha filed a complaint with the prosecution, protesting accusation by the city mayor.
